airlines say they will take on cabin crew at 18 but do Do airlines recruit people who are the minimum age requirements.?

airlines say they will take on cabin crew at 18 but do they really do it.
Answers:   Yes, I work for a major airline and I can attest that they would actually go to the local high schools of the graduating seniors to recruit them to come work for the airline. When I first started I worked alongside plenty of 18 year olds. You also mentioned cabin crew so I am going to assume you were more directly referring to flight attendant positions. I didn't work directly in that particular area but I have friends that do and since it is still a very in demand position its harder to get into that department. Especially when most people that become flight attendants hold that position until they retire.
If the airline feels you are a good match and that you will succeed at your job, they may hire you even if you only meet the minimum age requirements.
